Reviews and Ratings
The hotel provided us with nice and spacious rooms that had a side facing view, and parking right outside, which was perfect for our overnight stay. The room was immaculate with a little welcome pack of treats waiting for us, making us feel truly welcomed. The service was very friendly and helpful, making us and even our dog feel very welcome. However, the town itself didn't have much activity. The dining experience was exceptionally good, offering a great variety of choices. Overall, a great place to stay for touring the area.
The hotel exceeded my expectations with its modern and welcoming ambiance. The rooms are brand new, clean, and warm, with a lovely little welcome pack of treats awaiting us upon arrival, overlooking the main road. The service was top-notch, always acknowledging guests with a smile and a kind word, making us feel like friends in minutes. Despite some noise from the road and single-glazed windows, the location was good for our overnight stop, not far from Edinburgh and conveniently close to the castle. Dining was a delightful experience with delicious and plentiful options, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. The facilities were great, offering everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The value for money was outstanding, especially considering the quality of our experience.
The hotel is conveniently located near Doune Castle and Sterling, providing quick access to local attractions. While the rooms would benefit from repairs and a handrail on the stairs, they are warm and cozy. The friendly service from start to finish enhances the experience. The food, especially the homemade black pudding, is highly recommended. However, the single-glazed windows make the rooms noisy from the nearby road, and the lack of heavy curtains affects privacy.
